Tripura Swrwngnai Buthu Leads 7-Day Cultural Outreach Across Longtharai Valley Ahead of Buisu Festival 2025
Longtharai Valley, April 7, 2025: In a spirited effort to revive cultural roots and strengthen community bonds, Tripura Swrwngnai Buthu (TSB) successfully conducted a 7-day awareness campaign from April 1 to 7 across the Longtharai Valley Subdivision. Going village-to-village and house-to-house, the campaign aimed to reconnect the Tripura community with the rich traditions of Buisu, their most significant social festival.
The outreach encouraged local participation and emphasized the importance of preserving indigenous identity and customs. The culmination of this effort will be seen on April 9, with the celebration of Advance Buisu Festival 2025 (Tipra Era 1435) at New Motorsand, Manughat, Longtharai Valley, Dhalai Tripura. The festival is jointly organised by TCB, TSB, and NPRC, and will feature traditional attire, Tiprasa cuisine, and vibrant cultural performances including the iconic Kherabai dance.
This grassroots initiative by TSB reflects a deep commitment to cultural preservation, youth engagement, and collective celebration.
