Agartala, Correspondent: 11 August. ALOHA- Abacus Learning of Higher Arithmetic showcased its skills on the world stage by organizing an international competition on July 30, 2023 at the Sunway Pyramid Convention Center in Malaysia. The event witnessed the participation of children aged 4 to 14 years from various countries, who were challenged to solve 70 arithmetic sums in 5 minutes across various addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, square root and decimal operations. A press release informed that ALOHA Abacus & Mental Arithmetic Tripura, a division of Rising Child Group, represented India with 10 participants among international teams of around 700 young minds. 

Enthusiastic participants came from countries like India, Malaysia, China, Mexico, Bangladesh, Croatia, Panama, Cambodia, Canada, Uzbekistan, Indonesia, Taiwan, Venezuela, Ecuador and the Philippines. More than 40 countries representing 15 countries including Uzbekistan, Mexico and the Philippines participated in the event. Officials of the embassies of these countries were present at the event. 

The awards ceremony unfolded in a spectacular display of cultural diversity, as each country presented performances showcasing their heritage. Miss Luciana Tripura performed a mesmerizing Tripura dance, capturing the essence of Tripura's culture and heritage. In an astonishing display of talent, six of the ten Tripura participants bagged the coveted title of Grand Champion, while one emerged as the champion, two bagged the first runner-up position and the other the third runner-up further status. The brilliant performance of Tripura children shines brightly among peers from 15 countries.

India's Deputy High Commissioner to Malaysia, Subashini Narayan expressed her appreciation for the initiative of ALOHA in Tripura and the remarkable achievements made by the Indian participants. The Office of the Indian High Commission in Malaysia witnessed a meeting between ALOHA representatives and the Deputy High Commissioner on 31st July, which cemented this remarkable achievement on the global arithmetic stage.
