Bangaluru, Correspondent: The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) completed Lunar-Orbit Insertion (LOI) on August 5 to successfully place the Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft into lunar orbit. The LOI technique was carried out from the ISRO Telemetry, Tracking and Command Network (ISTRAC) in Bangalore. lOI tactics begin at 7 p.m.

“Chandrayaan-3 successfully entered lunar orbit. A retro-burning was ordered on Perilun from the Mission Operations Complex (MOX), ISTRAC, Bengaluru,” the space agency said. After the critical maneuver was completed, ISRO posted on its X social media platform “Chandrayaan-3 mission: MOX, ISTRAC, this is Chandrayaan-3. I feel lunar gravity."

After the success of lOI, ISRO will perform four orbital maneuvers to enter the spacecraft into its final orbit at a distance of about 100 km from the Moon's surface. The first of these maneuvers will take place on August 6 at 11 pm IST. The next operation – de-orbit reduction – is scheduled for August 6, 2023, at 11 pm IST,” ISRO said.
