Agartala, Correspondent: Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha on Friday felicitated the Samajpatis of various communities and said that their role is important in the overall development of the state.
The chief minister said, "Samajpatis of different communities play an important role in carry forward their own culture and traditions. The role of socialists is also important in building 'One Tripura, Development Tripura'.
In view of this, our government has taken various steps to honour them."
He was addressing the inaugural session of a consultation workshop with leading social leaders of various Janjati communities at Pragya Bhavan.
A turban (turban) was presented to the Chief Minister and also Traditional clothing (Kubai Borok).
He said that various political parties have used the people as a vote bank for political gains over the years. But, it was Prime Minister Narendra Modi who ended this trend and gave due respect to the people of Janjati. "The Prime Minister continues to work for the overall development of the nation and the present state government is also giving top priority to the development of the TTAADC area in the same direction."
