TRIPURA CM SENDS 100KGS OF PINEAPPLES TO BANGLADESH : SWEET GESTURE.
Tripura’s CM Manik Saha giftedc100kgs of Pineapples to Bangladesh, by sending them to Bangladesh’s CM Sheikh Hasina. Saha sent the gifts as a sweet gesture to the Bangladesh CM.
Dipak Badiya who is the assistant director of the Horticulture department, handed over the 100kgs of Pineapples weighing around 750 kgs to the Bangladesh's officials at the Akhaura check post. Sheikh Husain who is the present PM of Bangladesh ,has also sent 600kgs of mangoes to Tripura’s CM.
Dipak in an interview said ““Everyone knows that India and Bangladesh share cordial ties.Tripura had played a key role in the Bangladesh Liberation War of 1971. The CM, in a goodwill gesture, sent 100 boxes of freshly harvested pineapples to the Bangladesh prime minister.” This sweet gesture by Tripura’s CM also aimed at promoting their state’s horticulture as the pineapples grown in Tripura has its own unique taste, and is also good in quality, which is why they are gaining praises from all over the world.
The national horticulture board has already made the Sepahijala place in Tripura a major hub to produce “queen variety of pineapples.”
