India will have good relations with Gulf countries: Piyush Goyal

Union Minister Piyush Goyal on Tuesday said that the controversial remarks of suspended BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma about Prophet Mohammad had no bearing on the NDA government. This is because she was not a government official. Goyal emphasized that India will continue to have good relations with the Gulf countries, which have reacted sharply to the matter. Referring to Nupur's suspension, Goyal said necessary action has been taken against her.

When Piyush Goyal was asked about this controversy, he said that I do not think that this statement has been made by any government functionary and hence it has no effect on the government and the party has taken the necessary action. He said that the Ministry of External Affairs has given a clarification on the issue.
